This past Saturday I was fortunate enough to be invited to attend a back to school event for the Boys and Girls Club of Southeast Georgia. It was great to see all of the kids and talk about vision (but mostly give them candy). I have to give a special thanks to my sister, Erica, for coming out to help me. I'm not sure what I would do without the family that I have.
1 in 4 children suffer from eye problems, whether it be bad vision or other learning related eye problems, eye coordination problems, or pathological problems such as glaucoma, congenital cataracts, or many others. Unfortunately, millions of children go by each year with vision problems that go undiagnosed and affect learning. School is already hard enough on most of these children, so we strive to help even the playing field as best as we can.
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
